as we captured the show behind the show using video and dslr 

with interview help from Chris Hunter. 

The School of the Art Institute's Fashion Design students 

created "A leviathan of fashion!..." according to Instructor, 

Tommy Walton for their runway show THE WALK 2014. 

Co-Chair's Debbie Jagel and Margaret MacLean joined 

Sage Chair and designer, Katrin Schnabl to bring together 

all departments to design the show. Honored alumni and

 faculty member, Nick Cave performed his moving works of art. 

Factor Models and Ulta made everyone look beautiful. Swarovski, 

Council of Fashion Designers of America/Teen Vogue, Perry Ellis, 

Robin Richman and other patrons offered scholarships and awards.

Show Stoppers! SAIC student designs rule the runway at THE WALK 2014!

SAIC Senior fashion design student, Tosha Sherman poses for the paparazzi. 

The inset photo is just one of her designs that were featured in the runway show 

at THE WALK 2014 at Millennium Park. 250 designs by Sophomores, Juniors 

and Seniors were featured along with performance pieces by SAIC educator and 

thartist, Nick Cave.

THE WALK 2014, SAIC’s annual evening scholarship benefit, co-chaired by 

Debbie Jagel and Margaret MacLean  and honoring acclaimed artist Nick Cave 

is held in conjunction with Fashion 2014 at Millennium Park. These ladies are

dedicated to helping fashion design students reach their dreams.
